Description
A 2.5ct pear moissanite in a tension mount setting — the stone held by pressure between the two ends of the shank rather than enclosed in prongs or a bezel. The pear stone appears to float within the band.
The center stone is 2.5ct pear cut moissanite, D color and VVS1 clarity. A tension mount holds the stone by compressing it between the two terminal ends of the ring shank. The stone has no surrounding metal — only the contact points at either side of the girdle. Light enters the stone unobstructed from above, below, and both sides, which is different from what a prong or bezel allows. The pear shape in a tension mount is particularly visible — the full outline of the teardrop is uninterrupted. Available for both men and women.
